Batch electrooxidation was performed using graphite as anode and stainless steel as cathode. The effect of initial pH, electrolyte dosage like NaCI and Na2SO4, current density (CD), electrolysis time has been investigated Influence of initial pH was investigated varying it from 1 to 11. Electrolyte dosage was varied from 0 to 1500 mg/L. based on the understanding developed from preliminary test of initial pH and electrolyte dose further work was carried at optimized initial pH and electrolyte dosage Effluent COD was observed minimum at 7 and 9 initial pH, which are 83.58% and 86.05% respectively, 1000 mg/L NaCI dose and 500 mg/L Na 2304 showed maximum COD removal at 5mA/cm2cunent density. Total soluble phosphorous was reduced to 90-93% at alkaline pH, and complete removal was attained with NaCI dosage at 5mA/cm2. 5, 10 and 15 mA/cm2 current density were applied d for 0-60 min time and both parameters showed wry significant effect on COD and phosphate removal. As all studied parameters were found effective, their consideration in optimization cannot be neglected for complete treatment development. Key Words: Electrooxidation, UASB effluent, graphite, COD removal..
